November 2nd, 2008 - My Aunt Carol and Nanny (plus much help from Aunt Mary Ann) had a baby shower for me. It was very nice. I received lots of wonderful gifts for Baby J.

October 18th, 2008 - Dana, Mom Pinder and Mom Collins had a baby shower for Johnno and I. Johnno had been wanting to have a pig roast so...thats what we did. Thanks to all of our family and friends that were able to make. We were so thankful for all the gifts everyone got us and the baby. Thank you to Dana, Mom Pinder and Mom Collins. We know a lot of work and planning went into this LARGE shower. We greatly appreciated it. It was awesome.

3rd Degree Burns

August 11th, 2008 - So I am not proud, however I am a little amazed with myself. I was taking the beautiful tomatoes from our garden and cooking them down into sauce. To this day I am still unsure what I did or how it happened but I REALLY burned my belly. Johnno was in the attic working on the air conditioner and I was in the kitchen. When it happened I screamed bloody murder. He of course could not hear me. I ran upstairs and told him I needed his help and that there was sauce all over the kitchen and on the stove. I did not want it to cause a fire. I then jumped in the shower and was trying to run cold water over the burn. For the first time ever, I could not get the water cold enough. Johnno had no clue what was happening. He saw the tomato sauce on me and thought I was bleeding. When I got out of the shower I of course called my mom and my midwife. I used ice packs and a stalk of aloe to try and ease the pain. Mom felt terrible but of course could not do much from Florida. She reassured me that Baby J was okay and she offered many suggestions. The midwife said I could take some Tylenol but I really was not interested. Don't get me wrong, I was in pain, but I was afried of what it may due to the baby. I took a picture of my belly and sent it to Jonathan. He texted back "Haha. It says no." I of course did not find it funny. He thought I had gotten a little sun burn from the day before. Once I explained to him I actually burned myself with sauce he felt terrible. After I was completely healed I talked to a firefighter and they explained to me that some of the areas of the burn were actually 3rd degree burns.

Florida with Jatly and Jordon

July 23rd - 30th, 2008 - Went to Florida with Jatly and Jordon. Jonathan's birthday was the 25th. We of course went to Disney World too. Jonathan flew home with us!!!!

We Are Having a Baby

April 21st, 2008 – I told Brittany. Last week I made pumpkin bread and quiche. She came over and noticed I had been cooking and was like “What are you doing so much cooking for? Are you pregnant or something?” I of course told her “no”. And moved on. Then again Saturday (April 19th) I was outside noticing all the yard work and planting they did and was eating a plate of quiche. Brandon was bugging me for a bite and I kept saying no. So then I said “I need to eat my lunch, I am a growing girl.” Brittany then said “See you are pregnant.” And I responded back with “No, but thanks for calling me fat.” So today I decided to tell Brittany. She came over and I said, “So what is it about me that makes you think I am pregnant? Have I really gotten that fat?” And she was like “No. I just really want to you guys to have a baby.” So then I was like “Well can you keep a secret for about two weeks?” She said “Yes.” And I said “Well I am pregnant.” She was like “For real.” Me – “Yes.” Her – “Not ah. Your lying.” Me “I am not lying.” Her – “For real.” Me – “Yes.” And she was like “Your lying.” I was like “Fine I am lying.” And then I was like “Brittany do I lie?” And she was like “Are you fibbing then?” And then I showed her my belly. And she believed me. And is excited.

April 18th, 2008 – I picked Jatly up after school. We drove home and then I had Jordon tell her. I have been practicing saying “Whats in my belly?” He then says “Aunt Joy has a baby in her belly.” So that is exactly what he told Jatly. She was a little confused at first but then really happy. She is excited. She had a ton of questions. She kept saying “I just can’t believe it.

April 14th, 2008 – Sara called me and said she left her phone at home and hadn’t gone into work. I told her we were pregnant and she seemed surprised.

April 13th, 2008 – We emailed Colleen and Sara. Colleen answered our call and was shocked and happy. But she said “You guys beat me to it.” Johnno said “I was always mom-moms favorite but now I really am.” But she seems excited. Sara never answered her phone

April 12th, 2008 – We told Johnno’s parents. We pinned signs to Jocko and Janey. Jocko’s said "We are getting an addition." And Janey’s said "I am getting a new friend". And then the word document I made for my mom I gave to them too. Patti was happy and hugged us both. Johnny came in 45 minutes later and we gave him the paper to open and he said “I thought this is what this was” and told us congratulations. Later that night I told Jonathan and he was happy but shocked. And is now calling me “Fatty” and “Preggo.

April 11th, 2008 – When Jamie got home I gave him the heart shaped paper that said “I am going to be a mama” and a ultrasound photo on the back. He couldn’t believe it. And then that night I MADE my mom get on the computer and she opened the word document and was like “Is that you? Oh my gosh? When are you due? And how long have you known?” We talked for a long time.

Blood Work and Ultra Sound

April 10th, 2008 – Went to Dr. Winters to have blood drawn and urine test to verify I was pregnant. And then in the after noon I went for an ultrasound. According to my dates I was 8 weeks 5 days but according to the size of fetus and my uterus I was 8 weeks 2 days. Baby was 1.77 cm from head to rump. Heart rate was 169. Made a word document with my ultrasound photos and wanted to email it to my mom but she was too tired and pretty much already asleep. I made a replica of how Jamie told me he was having a baby.

First Prenatal Visit

April 9th, 2008

Dana, Jordon and Kiley needed a ride so I gave her one and used the excuse that I was headed to Wilmington for a dentist appoint so she asked me “I thought your dentist was in Middletown” and I responded with “Johnno wanted to try someone new.” So then she asked me “Whats your new dentists name?” Since I was lying I didn’t know what to say so I freaked and was like “Stop grilling me. I can’t tell you why. Stop asking me questions. I am going to the birth center because we think we are pregnant.” She was shocked and happy.

1st appointment with Midwives (Nicole Black), she asked a TON of medical history questions. She examined me and she said I felt “big like 10 or 11 weeks” and then asked me if “twins ran in our family”. But I think she thought I felt big because my BLADDER was filled. Johnno was relaxed but QUIET.

Umm...I Lied

March 20th – Told Terry she was right – I was pregnant!!!! And sorry I lied. I really had NO clue.

EPT = POSTITIVE

March 18th – EPT test came up positive. I called Johnno while he was at work and cried when I told him. I said I took an EPT test. And he said "Your crying so I can’t tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing." So then I told him we were pregnant. He said "I am cool with that." I was happy but just really scared.

Body Feeling "Different"

March 14th to the 17th – My body was feeling "different" Johnno and I “joked” that we were pregnant and that I was trapping him. Really could not be "trapping" him, since we are already married.

Could You Be Pregnant?

March 13th – First time back with Terry for massage (she asked if I could be pregnant – I told her “no way” because I really thought that there was no way I could be – obviously wrong).
